NPP Prez Primaries....Nana Addo In Landslide Victory

With almost all 275 Constituencies (save only 1 that is Ho Central) results in, it is crystal clear two-time Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo has once again won the confidence of delegates, this time overwhelmingly, to lead the opposition party in the next general elections. Provisional results available to Peacefmonline.com indicates that 125,820 out of 141,172 Special Delegates expected to vote, participated in the exercise. This represents an 89.13 % participation rate. Nana Addo polled 117,574 votes representing 94.34 %. His closest challenger, Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten, who was expected to give him a run for his money garnered a paltry 5,925 votes which in percentage terms equals 4.7. Whiles Francis Addai-Nimoh, polled 1,133 votes representing 0.91 %. A total number of 1,188 rejected votes was recorded in the nationwide exercise. In 2010, Nana Akufo-Addo polled 83,517 votes (78.89%); Alan Kyerematen polled 21,226 votes (19.91%); Isaac Osei garnered 1,194 votes (1.12%); Dr Frimpong-Boateng polled 428 votes (0.40%) and John Kwame Kudua garnered 225 votes (0.21%).
