Staunch member of the the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and a keen supporter of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Hajia Fati was captured by Peacefmonline.com in a celebratory mood at the NPP headquarters after Nana Akufo-Addo was announced winner at the party's headquaters. Nana Addo eventually won by 117,413 representing 94.35% of the total valid vote cast, with his closest contender Alan Kyerematen polling 5,908 representing 4.75%, whiles Francis Addai Nimo had 1,128 representing 0.91%.
