A defeated New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential hopeful, Francis Addai Nimoh has taken a swipe at the former General Secretary of the party, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, also known as Sir John for calling on them to be persecuted for willfully causing financial loss to the party.
Speaking on Adom TV�s midday news, Addai Nimoh noted that, Sir John�s statements are always used for comic relief and hence should not to be taken seriously.
The former General Secretary called on the party executives to query Alan Kyerematen for deliberately contesting Nana Addo in the just ended NPP congress knowing he was set to lose.
Nana Addo recorded a landslide victory in the polls.
Sir John noted that, the resources used in the just ended delegates congress would have been better used in campaigning for the 2016 General Election.
But in a quick rebuttal, Mr. Addai Nimoh described Sir John as a "joke who lacks seriousness".
He hastened to add that he is ever ready to work with Nana Addo to wrestle power from the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Meanwhile, the Civil Engineer revealed that, he visited Nana Addo at his residence Monday morning to formally congratulate him and avail himself for any role in his campaign.
