Aggrey Memorial SHS suspends 57 students

Fifty seven final year students of Aggrey Memorial Senior High School in Cape Coast in the Central region have been suspended indefinitely for molestation. A statement announcing their suspension,Tuesday said they defied the instruction of the headmaster not to punish form two students. The bullying of junior students is an age old tradition observed by senior students of the school. The suspended students were reportedly denied audience with the regional minister in whom they had gone to seek refuge. The students were bused from the school premises to the Tantri Lorry station by the headmaster in charge of Academics, Koomson Barnes, after the suspension note was issued . Koomson allegedly refused a plea by the students to be allowed into their dormitories to pick transport fares for their journeys back home. They have subsequently been banned from getting anywhere closer to the school until they are recalled.
