Governments� inability to state whether Ghana would not host the impending African Cup of Nations, has opened the door for its intelligence level to be assessed. Hon. Alexander Afenyo Markin, Member of Parliament for the Effutu constituency, wondered if the incompetent level of the National Democratic Congress has now reached an uncontrollable point where they only followed the direction of the wind and not the opinions of the citizenry. Speaking on UTV�s Adekye Nsroma show, the Effutu MP stated that if nations like Morocco and South Africa have rejected hosting the 2015 AFCON competition despite their level of development, Ghana should come nowhere close to hosting the life threatening event. He added that based on NADMO and the Ghana Medical Association�s advice to government that we were not adequately prepared to fight Ebola, government should have out rightly thrown out the decision to organize the event Ghana.
