Tussle Over Book Lunch Amicably Settled

The fast track high court in Accra has adopted the terms of settlement agreed on between former President Rawlings and Professor kwaku Danso Boafo over a book on the former President. Presiding Judge L. L Mensah having been satisfied that the defendant, Professor Kwaku Danso-Boafo had executed the settlement, struck the case out as settled. Professor Danso-Boafo told the court that he is aware of the agreement which he and his lawyers have signed. The Judge advised the former diplomat to endeavour to abide by the agreed terms. Former President Rawlings on August 19 this year instituted a court action against Professor Danso-Boafo for publishing a book about him on Ghana's transitional regime. According to the former head of state, though he agreed to the publication of the book, his approval was a precondition which was not respected.
