Twenty-eight suspected criminals, including a man on the police wanted-list, have been arrested in a swoop mounted by the Manhyia Police Division in Kumasi. Francis Assibey, alias Sisco has been on the run for more than three weeks, after defiling a 13-year old girl at Abbeys Park at knife-point. Police Superintendent Frank Abrokwah, Acting Divisional Commander, told the media that the suspects had been involved in various criminal activities pick pocketing, cellular phone-snatching, gambling, wee-smoking and swindling people of their money. They have been operating at Kejetia, Ash-Town, Roman Hill, Dr Mensa and French Line. Their arrest comes amid stepped-up efforts by the police to go after criminals in the metropolis and make life uncomfortable for them. Supt.
