Juliet Ibrahim Organising A Halloween Party

Ghanaian actress Juliet Ibrahim is this weekend organising a Halloween party to save lives. Halloween is an annual celebration observed in a number of countries on October 31, the eve of the Western Christian feast of All Hallows Day. It initiates a particular moment in the liturgical year dedicated to remembering the dead, including saints (hallows), martyrs, and all the faithful departed believers. Within Allhallowtide, the traditional focus of All Hallows Eve revolves around the theme of using humour and ridicule to confront the power of death. According to many scholars, All Hallows Eve is a Christianised feast initially influenced by Celtic harvest festivals with possible pagan roots, particularly the Gaelic Samhain. Other scholars maintain that it originated independently of Samhain and has solely Christian roots. Juliet is organising the Halloween party to raise funds for her Juliet Ibrahim Foundation to support persons with kidney problems. The party will come off on Saturday November 1, 2014 at Club 45 (formally Excel), near Nyaho Clinic, East Airport, Accra. The mission of helping and supporting people with kidney related ailments is still alive in all of our programmes. Therefore, the foundation will be raising funds to support three of our patients with kidney failure and just as weve done in the past, all gate proceeds and celebrity auction will be channelled to the dialysis treatments of these patients, she said in a press statement.
