Eight Suspects Arrested In Nkwanta DCE Shooting Case

A total of eight suspects have been rounded up by the security apparatus in connection with the cold-bloodied murder of Peter Kenyensor, District Chief Executive of Nkwanta South on Monday. Mr Joseph Ackah, Nkwanta District Police Commander said Military cum Police presence have been beefed up with personnel and armoured vehicles in order to stabilize the incidence from taking a different turn. Many people are confined to their homes with little outdoor activities as the security patrol the length and breadth of Nkwanta town. Snippets of information gathered by the Ghana News Agency attest to an underlining ethnic and land related stalemate, leading to a segment of the people allegedly petitioning the Volta Regional Minister for the removal of deceased from office. Meanwhile there are Regional and District Security Council meeting concurrently taking place in Ho and Nkwanta on the way forward. An unknown gunman last night ambushed the deceased DCE at the Residency on returning home from work, killing him instantly.
