The Ghana Football Association (GFA) says former Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah has not dragged the federation to court insisting part of his �legitimate� demands have been paid. A newspaper publication on Tuesday claimed that Appiah has dragged the GFA to the courts of the Labour Commission over his unpaid compensation fee since he was released as Ghana coach. However the GFA says they have not been taken to the court by the coach but admit that there are still some payments due to the coach which they are discussing with his lawyers. �We have not been taken to court by coach Appiah. In fact we have had discussions his lawyers about these things and there is absolutely no stand-off,� Ghana FA spokesman Ibrahim Sannie Daara told Radio Gold. �There is no disagreement between the two parties that some of the coach�s monies are still outstanding. �We have recently made some payments to him as soon as as money is available we will make good the rest of the payments. �This is nothing new to us. There are moments when we don�t have money and that leads to non-payment. But when we have the money we pay promptly and this is the case for coach Appiah.� Appiah was relieved of his position in September, a day after leading the Black Stars to beat Togo 3-2 in Lome in a 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier. His representatives, Law Group Solicitors and Barristers are demanding five items from the Football Association which includes his entitlements for the wrongful termination of his two-year contract. A letter written to the Ghana federation said: � Your letter of termination was silent on the fate of our client�s rental allowances as well as his official driver�s allowances. �It our hope that just and good reason will prevail to ensure a mutual settlement of these outstanding payments.� Law Group Solicitors and Barristers are representing Appiah and they are demanding outstanding signing on-fee, outstanding salary, performance bonus and allowances. Appiah wants a pronouncement on his rental allowance and allowances for his driver. The Ghana FA is yet to name Appiah�s successor despite interviewing three European coaches Avram Grant, Michel Pont and Juan Ignacio Jimenez.
