Unknown gun men laid ambush at the residence of the District Chief Executive (DCE), Mr. Peter Kojo Genyinso and shot him in his car on Monday, 3rd November, 2014 at about 5pm.
The unfortunate incident occurred right in front of his residence in the Volta Region when he was returning from work.
So far, 8 suspects have been arrested while the body has been flown down to Accra.
The homicide unit of the Police department has taken charge of the case and is leading investigations.
Speaking to PEACE FM, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament (MP) for Nkwanta South, Hon. Gershon Kofi Bediako Gbediame narrated how the DCE was shot.
