Horror At Judges ResidenceAs Doberman Mauls Police Officers

A young constable working for the Ghana Police Service has been brutally attacked and mauled by guard dogs at the residence of a justice of the Supreme Court of Ghana. The constable, whose name we have withheld, is now virtually bed-ridden and excused from active duty after he was set upon and attacked by the vicious animals whilst on guard duty at the residence of one of Ghanas topmost judges, one of the panels of nine judges who presided over the famous election petition hearing last year. Reports indicate that this is the sixth time, in as many months, that a police officer has been attacked by the dogs at the residence. The Daily Searchlight has been reliably unformed that the judge has as many nine rear-breed dogs at his house, all of whom are trained to attack intruders. For some reason, however, the judge has failed to devise a method by which his human and animal guards could co-exist together. Colleagues of the injured police officer, who stormed the offices of the Daily Searchlight with pictures of their injured colleague, said that the injured gentlemen are the sixth officer to be attacked by dogs at the house. It is a regular occurrence at that house. The dogs keep on attacking us, but the judge really does not seem to care what happens to us, even though we are supposed to be risking our lives ensuring that his life is secured, the scared police officers who stormed our officers stated. Yesterday Mr. Cephas Arthur, at the Police Public Relations Department said that this matter had not come to his attention. He however, noted that officers injured in the line of duty are normally compensated whilst the police also had a workmans compensation scheme. He however promised to find out what was happening.
