We Are Running Out Of Patience Ursula Owusu

Member of Parliament for Ablekuma West Constituency, Ursula Owusu Ekuful, has expressed grave concern about the deteriorating state of the economy. She lamented about the lack of concern of government about the plight on the suffering masses on daily basis. The Ablekuma West MP said resentfully that for the whole year common fund has not been paid, NHIS has not been paid, GETFUND has not been paid but the monies have been collected by government, so the question we are asking is where are our monies? Mrs. Owusu Ekuful added that the Alliance For Accountable Government (AFAG) demonstration was a wake-up call on government to step up in its doings because they are running out of patience and it is time the government worked in the interest of Ghanaians as they promised Ghanaians. Hon. Ursula Ekuful said the Mahama-led government is only interested in collecting loans and yet Ghanaians dont know what the monies are for. She indicted that prices on every contract has been inflated citing the new fly over being constructed at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle to corroborate her claim. The Ablekuma West MP added that despite the countless advise given to the government, it has turned a deaf ear to all the advises thus the only option is to hit the street. The AFAG demonstration was peacefully organized starting from the Obra Spot at Circle and ended at formal Accra Arts of Oak training grounds at the Art Centre. Some inscriptions written on some placards include; sie yen preko, say no to for thieves, China parliament, tier two money, arrest speaker of parliament, only dum no so and many others. Other Members of Parliament who were present include, Hon. Dan Botwe, Hon. Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, Hon. Irene Naa Torshie and others.
