Former NDC MP Asks: Is This The First Time They've Embarked On A Demo?

Kuntu Blankson believes Ghana will forever remain stagnant if the mentality of the population is unchanged. The former NDC Member of Parliament (MP) for Mfantseman East Constituency is saddened how Ghanaians dont tackle issues facing the country in a realistic manner. Speaking to Peacefmonlione.com, the NDC man insisted that the mass protest staged by pressure group Alliance for Accountable Governance (AFAG) will yield to nothing if those people have the same mentality. AFAGs demonstration which was dubbed Aagbe Wͻ [They are killing us] saw hundreds of Ghanaians join them on the streets to protest against what they called high level of corruption and economic hardship in the country. But Kuntu Blankson questioned that Is this the first time they are embarking on a demonstration? He further admitted that corruption is widespread in government agencies and public enterprises. Our political system promotes nepotism and wasting money. This has undermined our legal system and confidence in the functioning of the state. One of the consequences is that many citizens don't pay their taxes and that is corruption". ..We must be factual and shouldnt talk about things we cannot manage. Corruption must be fought by the people themselves. We are not being more logicaluntil we become more logical about the circumstances we found ourselves, this country will remain as it. We must tackle issues with objectivity, he said
