She might sound jovial when her voice is aired on radio but she looks extremely serious when expressing her views on issues concerning the nation. The founder and leader of Ghana Freedom Party [GFP], Akua Donkor has stated categorically that, corruption which has become a burden under the Mahama-led administration can only be solved if Ghanaians consider her as president come 2016. At a time many believe the GFP is dead and buried, Madam Akua Donkor insists her party will bounced back in 2016 to contest strongly with the ruling National Democratic Congress [NDC] and the main opposition New Patriotic Party [NPP], since both parties have failed Ghanaians to fight the canker. In an interview with Peacefmonlone.com, the 2012 Presidential Candidate of the Ghana Freedom Party lamented that, �money and corruption are ruining the land [Ghana], crooked politicians betray the working man, pocketing the profits and treating us like sheep, and we are tired of hearing promises that we know they will never keep�. She however advised that, If a country is to be corruption free and become a nation of beautiful minds, there are three key societal members who can make a difference. Thus, the father, the mother and the teacher. �I am a mother and consider me, I will fight corruption in Ghana when elected president,� she told Peacefmonline.com.
