Rawlings Has Lost His Relevance In Ghana's Politics

James Kwabena Bomfeh Jnr, popularly called Kabila, has called on the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) to take precautionary measures against Ex-President Jerry John Rawlings. Speaking on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo", Kabila stated categorically that Ex-President Rawlings has become "irrelevant" in Ghana's politics and his utterances will not augur well for the ruling NDC. According to him, Mr. Rawlings is the root cause of the precarious nature of the country's politics. Kabila, who was speaking to the issue of the recent NDC election of Regional executives, held strongly that the Greater Accra Regional Chairman, Ade Coker, was on the verge of losing his seat but not "until Rawlings spoke; then immediately I said it has helped Ade." Ex-President Rawlings is said to have been on a mission to ensure that Ade Coker is kicked out of office. Commenting further on Kokrokoo, Kabila advised the NDC to "grow beyond that person Rawlings and his poisoned views about how politics should be done" or else he hamper the party in its efforts to retain power.
