Dumsor Is Punishment From God Tarzan

Energy expert Dr. Charles-Wereko says the ongoing load shedding exercise is Gods vengeance on Ghanaians for hounding him out of office as Chief Executive Officer of the Volta River Authority (VRA). According to him, he was forced out of office for no apparent reason because some people saw him a threat to their evil deeds. I wanted independence to run the place; I didnt want political interference, he disclosed. Tarzan as he is popularly called maintained that he still has the bragging right as the only VRA boss to supply constant electricity without any hitches. Speaking on Asempa FMs Ekosii Sen programme Monday, Dr. Wereko-Brobby blamed the situation on undue pressure being put on technocrats in the energy sector. He explained that successive governments in their bid to clinch on to power give them unachievable targets to meet. "These experts are not like me to speak their minds for fear of losing their jobs so they also oblige and put unnecessary pressure on the power plants" he opined. Proffering short term solutions to the erratic power supply on the Energy expert underscored the need for government to purchase emergency power badges to augment electricity supply. Ghanaians are paying realistic prices for tariffs but they are not getting value for money, he added. Dr. Wereko-Brobby called on the Mahama-led administration to be candid with Ghanaians on the current energy situation in the country. Tarzan also advised President Mahama to avoid the temptation to promise a definite date for the end of load shedding.
