Corrupt Leaders Can Never Attain Gods Blessing...

Very Rev. Eugene Preko, the Minister in charge of Maranatha Methodist Church at Dansoman in the induction service for the newly elected officers for the Dansoman Methodist Circuit Guild has reminded leaders to know that God placed them in authority to ensure the progress of the people they govern. According to him, many leaders are not truthful to the people they lead as they keep assuring them of promises which are not within their means; hence they steal from the State purse to live an extravagant life to create the impression that they are rich enough to resolve their problems. In an interview with Peacefmonline.com , Very Rev. Preko urged Ghanaians who are expecting jobs and better living conditions to keep their faith in God and not in politicians as God is the only way to end the economic challenges in the country. He insisted that the difficulties in the world is nothing new but rather it is in fulfillment of what the Bible has said will happen in the last days. He however encouraged Ghanaians not to give up the fight for a better life in the midst of the difficulties as by playing our part as good citizens will the promises of God come to reality; adding that the youth should not be in a haste to chase wealth but exercise patience while waiting on Gods promise for the country. .so if things are not going on well, we should not give up but keep on depending on God for help while we are playing our part as good citizens in order to make the promises of God come to pass. We have to be truthful and honest in our work and not haste in amassing wealth..with corrupt leaders, if they fear God, they have to realize that serving your country in a good way is not necessarily paying school fees of people in your communities but rather serve in honesty to attain the blessing of God; to steal from the state purse to help some few people for public applause is dishonesty to God and we can never do anything that will bring glory in our line of duties, he admonished. He therefore expressed joy that twelve new officers have been inducted to take over the leadership of the Dansoman Circuit Guild to continue seeking the warfare of the church and also to ensure that new churches are planted across the country.
