Ivorian winger Gervinho is said to be the subject of a new scandal at the Felix Houphouet Boigny airport in Abidjan, a case which has sparked the dismissal of four security guards. After the Elephants beat the DRC, AS Roma chartered a private jet to bring Gervinho back to Italy. The player who, in principle, should have been the only one making the trip, appeared in the company of a charming young M�tis woman. The lady, intending to fly with Gervinho had a suitcase in his hand. She however could not board the flight as she was not authorized to do so. Gervinho, wanting at all costs to go with his sweetheart, bribed four officers at the airport to bypass the security checks. According to sources, Gervinho tried to negotiate with the pilot of the private Jet, who flatly refused to, since he had received strict instructions to return only with the player. The four workers have been fired from their posts.
