I have never given anyone the benefit of the doubt as much as I have given President John Dramani Mahama. I have never had high expectations for anyone as much as I have for President Mahama, has never let me down, since he took over after the demise of President John Evans Atta Mills. Today, we all make reference to the Asian Tigers, some of those countries many have quoted had the same Gross Domestic Product (GDP), as Ghana, at the time of Independence. Posterity, will not judge leaders, by how long they stayed in power, but how their decisions, had laid a foundation for them not to suffer as we do today. Every parent�s wish is that their children, will have a better life than them, their children, will achieve more than they did at whatever age they made it in life. I spend hours wondering if I am the one who does not get it. I turn myself round and round, trying to be in the same book with President Mahama. I see what I think is reality, I twist it round and round, trying to find the angle at which President Mahama, is looking at things, but, still, I fail. Many people have found themselves in the boat as me, anytime I tell myself, he has reached the end of the road, they is no turning point for him, he always springs a surprise that leaves many asking questions which answers, do not require one to think too much. The President, is not in the business of thinking of the next election, if he does, trust me, like Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, our first President and founder, said, if all Ghanaians wanted was milk to flow through their taps, he will have done that, instead of building the Akosombo Dam, the Tema Motorway, and more than over 300 industries that gave jobs to the citizens of a nation, which has just had Independence. My President, John Dramani Mahama, is looking beyond four years, beyond ten, twenty or thirty years, he want his glorification tomorrow, not today, that is why even despite the grumblings, complaints of his party members, he has kept his feet on the accelerator, making sure that, we reach our destination safely. Many of the problems we have today, is because of how cosmetic our past leaders, have handled the problems confronting us, had my hero, former President, Jerry John Rawlings, putting in place measure to address, the load shedding we experienced in 1997/1998, we will not be where we are today. Had President John Agyekum Kufuor, continued perhaps where President Rawlings left off, in terms of power generation, today the concentration of this government, will have been geared towards revamping our collapsed industries and building new ones. So before anyone, especially members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), start throwing stones they should know that they also live in glass houses. President Mahama�s mission giving to him by God, he is working very hard to ensure that he achieves it before he exit in 2021. We all pretend to be religious in this country, but in exercising that faith, we forget that God, does not give anybody, a task he can�t accomplish, God will not put you through trials and tribulations, you can�t handle. Whatever problems confronting us, the best person to handle it is the man we have in the seat and that is President John Dramani Mahama. He has set so many things in motion, which will soon bear fruit and bring relief to Ghanaians. Ghanaians for some time now, have been going through one of the worst load-shedding in the annals of this country, it has given the President sleepless nights, because no day passes without the mention of his name, he then decided to do, what many visionary leaders, will do. The President, has set up the Ministry of Power, a Ministry that will be dedicated to power alone, and who is best to put there, than a man, who himself have had the justifiable cause to criticize power producing companies, for non-performance. He has thus separated Power from Energy, creating a separate ministry to handle issues of power, which is very critical, if ever we want to see that come to reality, all the fine prints we have on paper. There will not be any meaningful development without power. There will not be growth without power, any country, which as power deficit, as we do, is bound to be a failure. The President thought of this and has decided to leave a lasting solution to the problem of �Dumsor�. Over to you Mr. Minister, Dr. Kwabena Donkor, history has beckoned you, a chance that many people will gladly accept, has been given to you, I have listened to you elaborate very well what you reckon, we should do to get out of this crisis. I hope six months from now, I will be writing to you on behalf of Ghanaians and myself to congratulate and tell you, what a good decision the President have made, or that I write to ask for your dismissal. Sir you have the opportunity to be in the good books of history or you will also be counted as just being one of them. Many people the President, has appointed have failed him woefully, the trust and confidence he reposed in them, have been betrayed, I hope not to count you as one of them. The axe have started falling, the President last Friday, dismissed the boss of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), sending a clear and unequivocal signal to all that nobody is above reproach. He has demonstrated that he will not hesitate to show anybody the exit, if he or she fails to meet his expectations. This can only be done by a President, who is focus, with a sense of purpose. I am happy to have voted for you Mr President. When the issue of the brazen exportation of 12.5 kilograms of cocaine, through the Kotoka International Airport (KIA) by a Ghanaian/Austrian lady, Nayele Ametefeh, the President did not sweep the issue under the carpet as was done by his predecessors, he has dissolved the governing Board of Ghana�s anti-drug agency, the Narcotics Control Board (NACOB). I can only commend the President and say I hope that this house cleaning exercise does not end with only ECG and NACOB, but will be extended to other sectors, so his vision for Ghana and the aspirations of Ghanaians will be met.
