Flaunting Bags Of Rice On The Floor Of Parliamnet Is Nothing But Concert - Sampson Ahi

The Member of Parliament for Bodi, in the Western Region has described the actions and utterances of Hon. Dominic Nitiwul, deputy Minority Leader of Parliament on Tuesday as concert. According to Hon. Sampson Ahi, the deputy Minority Leaders actions and utterance on the floor of Parliament was similar to those in a concert. To him, the Minority in Parliaments quest to associate the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) to the smuggling of cocaine into the United Kingdom (UK) has clouded their sense of judgment, thereby making them appear and sound funny. "{..they first linked this cocaine issue to Francisa Adjei, who campaigned for the President before the 2012 general elections and that was proven to be false. They then went on to say the lady brandished a diplomatic passport and that has also turned out not to be true...now look at what they are doing. They bring rice to the floor of Parliament. All these are meant to equate this cocaine arrest to that of a then sitting Member of Parliament (MP), Eric Amoateng, who was arrested and jailed in the US for smuggling drugs, he said. These comments came after Hon. Dominic Nitwul caused a stir by getting on the nerves of the Speaker of Parliament, Hon. Edward Doe Adjaho by raising two bags of rice and comparing the weight of the two bags to the cocaine Nayeli Ametefe successfully smuggled through the Kotoka Airport's VVIP section unto a UK bound British Airways plane, during a debate on the 2015 budget. This singular action ignited hot exchanges between the Majority and the Minority of the House, with both sides blaming each other for being behind drugs trade in the country. However, Hon. Sampson Ahi is convinced that Hon. Nitiwuls display on the floor of Parliament was nothing but concert.
