Strange To Dissolve NACOB Board Whiles Maintaining Its Failed Management - Minority Leader

Minority Leader of Parliament, Hon. Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu has described the dissolution of the Board of Narcotics Control Board as strange as the board is not directly responsible for the failure to protect the KIA and impound 12.5km of cocaine which was busted at Heathrow Airport. According to him, it is difficult to understand the decision that went into the dissolution of the NACOB Board which meets periodically and rather maintain the management that controls the day-to-day narcotics issues in the country. He insisted that with the embarrassment the NACOB caused the country by issuing a statement of lies about its collaboration with its British counterparts, it should have been enough reason for government to take action against them. Speaking on Oman Fms Morning Show, he said the confusion and contradictory statement that has characterized the management of NACOB should not be blamed on the governing board. He however was of the view that he sees nothing wrong with the High Commissioner of Ghana to UK visiting Nayele Ametefe in prison to clarify her identity but he wondered how many of other Ghanaians has he visited relating to drug issues. He also suspected the government was hiding some truth in the cocaine saga with the mad rush by to clean up its act, explaining why the Ghanas High Commission to UK, Ambassador Victor Smith spoke on several radio channels and stated his concern and discomfort as the UK authority failed to inform him of the arrest. There is nothing wrong visiting Nayele Ametefe but how many Ghanaians in UK who are charged with similar crimes (drug trafficking) has the Ghanas Ambassador to UK visited? Why dissolve NACOB Board and maintain management in post who failed to control the airport to stop the drugs from moving outside Ghana? It looks as if government is hiding something in this case because Dr. Omani Boamah said something different from the Attorney-Generals charge against those who assisted the lady to use the VVIP lounge, he stated.
