Bukom Banku's Accident Report A Hoax...He Originated Story - Boxer's Manager

Peacefmonline.com can authoritatively confirm that the unfortunate news of the death of renowned light heavyweight boxer Braimah Issa Kamoko, popularly known as Bukom Banku, who was reported to have been involved in a motor accident on the Accra-Kumasi road on Friday, November 28, was a hoax. The deceptive news, Peacefmonline gathers, originated from the camp of the boxer. The charismatic boxer is reported to have told close friends that the rumours were a means to find out how people loved him. His manager, Abraham Neequaye, confirmed this to TV3 on Friday evening, few hours after the story went viral on social media. The Ghanaian boxer Bukom Banku was the centre story in Bukom last night. His hoax death news took over the whole of Bukom with details even suggesting the boxer had died with two other people in a fatal accident. But according to Mr Neequaye, the boxer "is in good shape", and was on his way from Koforidua with his wife and driver. Fans of the boxer had rushed to his home to get confirmation only to realize the news was a hoax. He is said to be having a good laugh over how the media stumbled over themselves to get to the bottom of the story and the numerous well-wishers who thronged his home to commiserate with the family. "...i have spoken to the maverick boxer who has expressed joy at the love Ghanaians have for him," Neequaye stated.
