NDC Begins Vetting

Party members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) who filed their nominations to contest various positions will today be vetted at the party�s national headquarters at Kokomlemle. One hundred and four candidates have completed their nomination process are expected to be vetted before 3rd December, 2014, which is the closing date. Mr. James Asante, the party�s Director of Communication issued a statement indicating that one hundred and fifteen candidates (115) across the country picked forms to contest the party�s national executive positions. The first batch of aspirants will undergo the vetting process at 10 am tomorrow.They are three for women organisers, eleven deputies, six youth organizers and eleven deputies. Four for national chairman and two for General Secretary. Three candidates are contesting the National Organiser position and four for the position of treasurer and four for propaganda. They will be vetted on Tuesday December 2, while on December 3, Vice Chairmen, Deputy General Secretaries and National Organisers, Deputy Treasurers and Deputy Propaganda positions will be vetted. Apart from the Youth and Women Organisers positions, vetting will begin at 10 am, while the remaining categories will start at 2pm on scheduled days. The party has scheduled the Youth and Women Organisers Conference for Saturday December 6.
