Blows In Abirim NPP

There was near bloodbath at the Abirim New Patriotic Party (NPP) constituency party office in the Eastern Region on Sunday afternoon when some concerned youth, numbering over 60, stormed the place to assault some constituency executives during a meeting session. According to DAILY GUIDEs investigations, the group, led by Osei Yeboah, the constituency organiser, had been waging a series of war against the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP), Esther Obeng Dapaah, pressuring her to step down in order for them (the concerned youth) to prepare the way for a new candidate. It had also been discovered that Mr Yeboah has been at the forefront moving from one radio station to the other, doing everything possible to tarnish the image of the incumbent MP who has done so much for the party. The constituency chairman had also alleged that the fortunes of the party in the constituency were dwindling, and the party risked losing the 2016 general election in the constituency if a new candidate is not picked for the party. The concerned youth of the NPP in Abirim have disclosed their choice of candidate for the parliamentary seat position Michael Sefa, a banker, whom they believe is a grassroots person and has the interest of the youth and the entire party at heart. Mr Yeboah was, therefore, summoned before the party executives in the constituency to query him on why he incited some youth within the party to declare their support for another candidate, when indeed Madam Esther Obeng Dapaah was the executives choice.
