Abodakpi Slaps Kwabena Adjei

Dan Abodakpis campaign team has descended heavily on the incumbent National Democratic Congress (NDC) chairman, Kwabena Adjei, stressing that he had failed the partys grassroots members and so he had no moral right to seek reelection. The team also bombarded Kofi Portuphy and Huudu Yahaya, both current vice chairmen of the NDC, who are contesting their boss, Dr. Kwabena Adjei, for the chairmanship position. Abodakpis group wondered why Huudu Yahaya and Kofi Portuphy had decided to contest their boss for the position, stressing that this alone is an indication that the chairman and his deputies have failed, hence the power struggle among them. Dr. Linus Folly, Director of Research and Strategies for Abodakpis campaign team, said Kwabena Adjei and his two deputies had collapsed the base of the ruling party. Speaking to DAILY GUIDE, he said the trio had failed woefully thereby causing disillusionment among the NDCs grassroots members so morally they dont deserve to contest the chairmanship position of our party. They have supervised the affairs of the party for almost ten years now and under their watch, the NDC which is a mass-based political party, has lost touch with its grassroots members who campaign hard to secure political victories for the NDC, he noted. Dr. Folly said throughout their campaign tour of the country, the NDCs grassroots members had expressed their disappointment about how the current leadership of the party had neglected them. He was of the view that Dr. Kwabena Adjei, Huudu Yahaya and Kofi Portuphy had enough time to deepen the relationship between the partys leaders and their members, but they collectively failed. Dr. Folly stated that if the three men, particularly Kwabena Adjei, could not use ten years to transform the partys grassroots base, what was the justification that they could do it when they were voted back to office, urging the delegates to reject them. Campaign The campaign secretary noted that even though Dan Abodakpi started his campaign late, he had suddenly taken the lead in the race for the NDC chairmanship, stressing that the partys delegates across the country had embraced their message of hope. Dr. Folly noted that his candidate had assured the grassroots members that under his leadership the party would reconnect with them so that they would feel proud for being part of the NDC family. According to him, Dan Abodakpi, who is experienced, hard working and accommodative, would implement effective mechanisms to rekindle the NDC spirit which is almost dead now due to bad leadership. To Dr. Folly, his candidate would win the upcoming NDC chairmanship slot, stressing that under Dan Abodakpis leadership the NDC would retain power in the 2016 elections.
