NPP Students Develop Anti-Election-Cheating System

A group of students in the New Patriotic Party, NPP, has developed an anti-election-cheating system, which will facilitate collation of polling stations results to nip rigging in the bud. Though it would not disclose the full details for a reason, the group said, KATELGO is a semi-electronic system using simple phones. The Students Network for Nana Addo (STUNNAD) that is behind the system is hoping to recruit at least 35,000 people to cover all the polling stations nationwide. KATELGO is a semi-electronic system we invented to collate the results from the polling stations; it is an idea from Students Network for Nana Addo (STUNNAD). Because of what happened in 2012 elections and what we all witnessed at the Supreme Court, we decided to come out with a system that we can collate the results as soon as possible that we can even beat the EC and any organisation in declaring results, National President of STUNNAD, Chris Arthur told myjoyonline.com. If NPP had been a little diligent at the polling centres, the party would not have been in opposition by now, Mr. Arthur stated. We believe that the election was actually rigged by changing of figureswe will not sit down to be cheated again and go to court complaining, he maintained. The system was tested at the NPPs last presidential primary, and he is hopeful they will be able to collate all the results within 30 minutes after they have been declared at the polling centres. We have tested it and we are rest assured that it will workThe public should be rest assured that we are going to collate the results, they will come so quickly that nobody can manipulate the figures, he said. Asked how they are going to finance such an ambitious project, Chris Arthur said because they do not want any excuses from the party that they dont have money, the system is being financed by committed members and individual party members who believe in KALTEGO. It is our own project to ensure that the results are not tempered with, he maintained. - See more at: http://www.myjoyonline.com/politics/2014/December-6th/npp-students-develop-anti-election-rigging-system.php#sthash.KAJ9vqi3.dpuf
