Police Clinic For Ksi

The dream of the Ashanti Regional Police Command to construct a 20-bed clinic in Kumasi seems to have received massive support from the public. Immediately the clinic project was announced, some philanthropists in the city queued to donate towards the clinic whose construction would start soon. Within a spate of 10 minutes, the police generated good cash which could be used to kick-start the medical facility. The police hospital project is a brainchild of DCOP Kofi Boakye, Regional Police Commander. The police capo announced the project during the opening of the Mohammed Ahmed Alhassan Conference Hall project. Police sourced the public to help construct the 250-capacity conference hall to honour IGP Mohammed Alhassan for his good work. The mad rush to donate to the clinic was observed by the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and IGP Alhassan. They commended DCOP Kofi Boakye for a good job done so far. The Asantehene, who was thrilled about the mad rush to support the clinic, said it is a sign that the public has confidence in the police. He urged the public to continually support the police, promising to host a dinner at the Manhyia Palace for the donors of the clinic project during Christmas. Among the donors to the project are CEO of Unity Oil, Dr Kwame Kyei, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, aka Wontumi, Osei Kwame Despite and Obibini Blackman, among others.
