Recently elected Central Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC,) Benjamin Allotey Jacobs believes the opposition New Patriotic Party [NPP] led by their flagbearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo- Addo are polluting Ghanaians with unpardonable lies. According to him, the NPP are throwing dust into the eyes of the citizenry just to win political power but refusing to spill out the good governance by the Mahama-led administration. Allotey Jacobs was reacting to the $1billion Eurobond disbursement by government which has been questioned by the NPP and their flagbearer. The NPP claim that the $1billion Eurobond secured by government in September this year was used to settle debts owed to the Bank of Ghana. The party noted that Government told an untruth story when it said the money was used to finance ongoing projects across the country. But speaking on Peace FM�s Kokrokoo, Allotey Jacobs insisted that the claims by the NPP are bogus after describing them as �lazy political party� who always refuse to research into government affairs before coming out publicly to debate. �NPP is now turning into a propaganda party. Their propaganda brainwashed many people. They are lazy and ignore to tell the truth. Their assessment to this country is pure laziness. What did they do during their era?� he questioned. He however noted that, the $1billion Eurobond was specifically used to fund for nationwide projects which the Central Region has benefited.
