A young man was lynched on Thursday dawn at Banana Inn Mango Down in Accra for allegedly stealing fruits from a house in the community. According to one of the residents, Philip Ashon, he woke up around 4am when he �heard some noise,� and quickly came out of his room to inquire what was happening. He said he saw so many people standing by a man in a pool of blood lying by a gutter with some piece of wood around him adding that �I heard people saying he went to steal some fruits.� �He stole the first one, coming back for the second one that was when they caught him,� he added. He said the incident happened around 2am. Meanwhile, personnel from the Muslim ambulance service came for the body of the lynched man.
