Airport Residential area based Breeze 90.9 FM is hosting a blood donation exercise on December 27 at two locations. The blood donation exercise takes place simultaneously at the Accra and Nungua Malls.
According to Kwasi Owusu, Sales Manager of Breeze 90.9 FM, the decision to host the blood donation at two locations is due to the high demand for blood over the Christmas season. He says the exercise is in collaboration with the Life Medical and Dental Clinic and the Southern Area Blood Centre of the National Blood Bank.
Breeze 90.9 is an Accra based radio station belonging to the Maestro Kojo Antwi and has been in operation since June this year when the station commenced programming.
The station is home to Kwabena Bobie Ansah who hosts the afternoon talk show Sinipi which deals with current affairs issues from Monday to Friday between 2 and 6 pm. Other shows on the station include Agoro Ne Fem hosted by veteran presenter George Amankwaa Spunky from Monday to Friday between 12.45 and 2 pm.
Other shows on the station include Showbiz Today hosted by another industry veteran Ekow Puncho as well as She Community presented by Nana Owusua Prempeh aka Beautiful Black on Wednesdays from 9 � 10.30 pm.
The blood donation exercise is sponsored by Midland Savings and Loan, Danadam Pharmaceuticals, Marfio Catering and La Tawala Beach Resort among others.
