Nana Addo Is Becoming Rusty, Needs Re-Ignition - Adu Asare

The former Member of Parliament (MP) for Adentan constituency in the Greater Accra region, Kwadwo Adu Asare has taken a swipe at the Presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo-Addo for spewing out untruths about the government. The former legislator who is also seeking to become the Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) said on Ekosii Sen Thursday that he is of the firm conviction that the NPP flagbearer needed to speak to avoid being rusty. Nana Addo is becoming rusty, he has been away for some time and you see he needed some re-ignition so that before the game starts, then he would gather some steam, he stated. The second Aliu Mahama Memorial Lectures, orgnaised this week, he said, provided the platform for Nana Addo who is leading the NPP for the third consecutive time to elections to speak to Ghanaians after a long while. Nana Addo in a speech titled One Ghana, Securing our Future criticized the government on specific sectors of the economy. Prominent in his speech was the call on the government to review the contract for the construction of an interchange at Kasoa in the Central Region insisting the contract has been bloated. But these criticisms, the former Youth Enterprise Support (YES) boss said was just to signal the 'still' presence of Nana Addo in the body politic of the country. He therefore called on Ghanaians to treat with disdain the speech delivered by the NPP leader.
