Goods and properties worth millions were destroyed when fire gutted the Tamale Abuabu market Tuesday morning.
According to PEACE FM correspondent, Kwabena Ntow, the fire started at about 1 am on Tuesday consuming bags of rice, beans, maize and other items on the market.
The cause of the fire is however not known.
�We were informed of the fire immediately it started but by the time we came everything was in ashes�we couldn�t retrieve even one bag� one of the traders said.
Meanwhile, personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) have been able to put out the fire.
