The Metropolitan Catholic Archbishop of Kumasi, Most Reverend Gabriel Justice Yaw Anokye, has called on all Ghanaians to support the nation�s leaders with prayers.
They should overcome political differences, and pray to God to grant the leadership the gift of wisdom and guidance, to lift the country out of poverty and the harsh economic situation.
He said it would be difficult to turn things around without divine intervention and direction.
Archbishop Anokye was saying the mass to climax the 30th anniversary celebration of the �Daughters of the Most Blessed Trinity Sisters (FST)� of the Catholic Church in Kumasi.
Established on December 8, 1984, with only eight members, membership had grown to 35, and they are into rural evangelism across the country.
They come with various professional skills, and have also been actively involved in teaching, administration and vocational training.
Archbishop Anokye said no matter what they were going through, the best thing all could do was to go into serious prayers to seek the face of God to change things and make things happen.
He used the occasion to denounce what he said was the growing indiscipline in the society - impunity and disrespect for authority, and said this needed to be tackled head on.
He saluted the sisters for their dedication and commitment to the cause of spreading the gospel to bring hope to people.
The Superior General of the FST, the Rev Sister Anna Amo, said they would continue to work with passion to bring the gospel truth to the people, turn them away from evil, and aid them to live in perfect harmony with themselves, their neighbours and God.
She said over the years, they had helped to establish schools, and were working hard to bring development to the communities.
