It has come to my attention that some instruction has gone to constituency executives interested in contesting in the upcoming parliamentary primaries to tender in their resignation before December 31, 2014. The directive also mandates all such interested persons to submit their applications and CVs for pre-vetting. I wish to stress that the directive is unauthorized and must be ignored by all constituency executives across the country. Under the NPP Constitution, only the National Executive Committee and the Steering Committee are empowered to take such a decision and on this occasion, no such decision has been taken by any of the bodies empowered to do so.
