XCLUSIV FOTOS: Kwaw Kese at The Crossroads!

Emmanuel Botchwey aka Kwaw Kesse or better still Abodam has been one of the most consistent artistes in the music game in Ghana since his major break in 2007 with his most successful album yet Abodam 2007. Kwaw Kese King of the Street has proven beyond all reasonable doubts that he is extremely passionate in everything he does. His unpredictable stage performances have always been a delight to watch on any day; he has been scandalous and controversial from right from the onset till date and he has always taken his social responsibility as a sanitation ambassador and his support for the mentally challenged in our society very serious. His work over the years have earned him respect in the music industry and given him street credibility. Kwaw still hold the unbroken record as the only artiste to have won the most awards on one night at the prestigious Ghana Music Awards, bagging 6 awards including the ultimate Artiste of the year at Ghana Music Awards 2008. Kwaw Kese has been on top of his game with his committed MadTime Entertainment crew until tragedy struck in the first quarter of this year and its been one bad news after the other for the Odeim Rapper. His manager, best friend and business partner Fennec Kwame Okyere was murdered in cold blood on Thursday March 13, 2014 and Kwaw Keses life has never been the same. His 6 years marriage to an American diplomat also fell apart while he was still recovering from the shock of Fennec Okyeres demise. Just when he was putting himself together and warming himself back into music, Kwaw Kese was arrested by police in Kumasi on Saturday, November 22 for allegedly smoking a substance suspected to be cannabis. It is very clear this year has not been too good for the Swedru Rapper and he is indeed going through a lot. If not for his arrest, Kwaw Kese had been billed to perform on over ten shows this Christmas including the just gone by Saminifest 2014, the upcoming MTN Carols night, Citi FMs Decemba2Remember, Ghana Rocks, Y-FMs Loud in GH, among other shows. Kwaw Kese was also preparing to launch new album Forever on Christmas Eve in a big concert at the Nima roundabout and he was also scheduled to party and dine with inmates of Pantang Mental Hospital in his annual Mad Feast, where he also donates several items and cash for the up keep of the health facility. Kwaw Kese has been denied bail three times already but he still remains hopeful and believes God is in control. He is schedule to appear in court again come Monday December 22 and we only wish him well as finds himself at the crossroads and now his future lies the hands of the law.
