The former National Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Yaw Boateng Gyan, has said results at the just-ended congress have vindicated Sir John for claiming that delegates and not ghosts must be feared. Sir John, real name Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, famously stated that apart from death, there could be no wicked personalities on this earth than delegates. �Fear delegates, not ghosts,� Sir John said after he lost his position to Kwabena Adjei Agyepong in the NPP�s executives elections in April this year. Boateng Gyan garnered 743 as against Kofi Adams� 2,547 votes to be elected the new national organiser of the ruling party at a congress held in the Ashanti regional capital, Kumasi. Speaking on Peace FM, Monday, Gyan described the results at the congress as �surprising�. According to him, delegates had no reason to vote him and Kwabena Adjei out since they were instrumental in securing two consecutive electoral victories for the NDC party. �Sir John has been vindicated now� he was right, he called me several times last night but I was so tired I couldn�t pick up, I am sure he wanted to tell me that I told you so� he has really been vindicated�. Gyan has, however, assured the newly elected executives of his utmost support to ensure that the party wins the 2016 elections.
