Chief Executive Officer of IMANI Ghana, Franklin Cudjoe has questioned President John Dramni Mahama recent Kpong Water Supply Expansion Project which he commissioned. According to him, measures to be taken to ascertain the water carrying system was overlooked despite the commission. Kpong Water Supply Expansion Project is expected to deliver about 20 million gallons of water per day to communities in Adenta, Madina, Kwabenya, North and East Legon and its environs. These communities have been experiencing chronic water shortage for many years therefore, the completion of this project will thus bring relief to the residents in those areas. read below what Franklin posted on his Facebook wall Oh, I really wished the recently commissioned water project by the President was done well. It is disappointing to learn that the fanfare that attended the commissioning was done without checking the water system to carry the water after 20 years of waiting. This was why I disagreed with a World Health Organisation (WHO) report in 2006 that 79 percent of urban Ghanaians have access to water. If by �access� it refers to a pipe that leads to the house, then this figure may be accurate. But if the experience of people is anything to go by, such access is of little practical utility. May our leaders put the horses before the carts.
