The Chairman of the Abossey-Okine Spare-parts Dealers Association, Siaw Ampedu has asked government to stop borrowing from the domestic market in 2015. According to him, government should as much as possible should raise money from the international market rather than competing with the private sector in the domestic market for loans. Speaking in an interview with Adom News, the Chairman of the Abosey Okine Spare Part Dealers Association explained that they are unable to access loans because of competition with government. He explained that government is able to pay high interest on loans; so the private sector is unable to access the loans to sustain their businesses. Mr. Ampedu also called on government to reduce import duties to bring some respite to their businesses.
