Forty Laptops For Four Schools

In an effort to accelerate information and communications technology (ICT) education in schools in the Afadzato South District of the Volta Region, a Development Consultant, Mrs Susie Afua Adoboe, has presented 40 rLg laptops to four basic schools in the district. The laptops, which were secured from the Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communication ( GIFEC), were valued at GH�40,000. The schools are Ve-Wudome D.A JHS, Ve-Golokwati E.P JHS, the Ve-Koloenu R.C JHS, and the Ve-Koloenu E.P JHS. They each received 10 laptops. Assorted reading materials worth GH�5,000 were also presented to the Ve-Wudome D.A JHS Library. Presenting the items at the annual durbar of chiefs and people of the Ve Traditional area at Ve Golokuati in the Afadzato South District of the Volta Region, Mrs Adoboe said the gesture was to motivate the pupils to study hard and also to keep them abreast of the modern trend of ICT. The Head teacher of the Ve-Wudome DA JHS, Mr Famous Bianku, on behalf of the, schools thanked Mrs Adoboe for the equipment.
