Tolerance And Dialogue Should Be The Way Forward - Minister

Mr. Antwi Boasiako Sekyere, Eastern Regional Minister, has stressed the need for political accommodation and dialogue, to sustain the nation on the path of growth. He said it was important for all to be mindful of the way they conducted themselves, and to avoid anything that might not be helpful towards the unity and peace of the country. The Minister made the call when he addressed the Fifty-Second Annual Convention of the True Faith Church of Ghana at Nkawkaw. The event coincided with the centenary celebration of the church, and drew members from across the nation. Mr. Sekyere encouraged the people to stand together to protect the prevailing peace and harmony, pointing out that, it was the way forward for socio-economic development. He asked the congregation to have faith and remain hopeful of better times ahead. He also reminded them about the need for everybody to contribute their quota to the national development effort, saying nobody should find comfort in the sidelines, and that all must have a part to play. Mr. Isaac Barfour Kwakye, Member of Parliament (MP) for Nkawkaw, urged the people to be more patriotic, by putting the nation first in whatever they do. Apostle John Owusu-Achiaw, General Overseer of the Church, advised the congregation to lead pious lives to become shining examples to the rest of society. They should maintain clean surroundings, to keep them healthy in order to prevent diseases.
