Police in the Eastern region has arrested one more person in connection with the shooting of a police officer at Weija in Accra. The suspect, Isaac Boadi popularly known as KK was among a gang of suspected armed robbers who exchanged fire with the police resulting in the death of the officer, Constable Charles Akatta. He was picked up from his hideout at the remote village of Kwashie near Asamankese in the Eastern region. Police found syringes and four wrappers of leaves suspected to be indian hemp on the suspect. The Oda District Police Commander, Chief Superintendent James Sarfo Peprah who spoke to Adom News revealed that the suspect who had his scrotum split open during the shootout went to a quack doctor for medical treatment. He said the �doctor� who referred KK to the Oda Government Hospital after giving him first aid �gave us more information to trace him�. Chief Superintendent Sarfo Peprah noted that KK has been on the wanted list of the police since he escaped from a shootout between Weija Police and some armed robbers. He said Isaac Boadi will soon be moved to Accra for prosecution.
