Get Rich Quick Mentality Killing Youth

THE CHIEF Executive Officer for Rhema Jason Ventures, Frank Adjei has bemoaned the prevailing get rich quick attitudinal posture assumed by a great number of the Ghanaian youth, describing it as a silent killer as majority who opted to chart that path have ended messing up their lives. The burning desire among the young generation to climb to the top of the economic heap in a single bound by any fair or foul means consequent to their inability to survive the challenges of life and the perception that they cannot afford to delay in amassing worth in life has gained a center stage in our modern society sometimes characterized by money rituals sakawa with its attendant pathetic premature deaths among the youth, Mr. Frank Adjei observed. Speaking in an interview with the DAILY HERITAGE during a thanksgiving service in Kumasi to acknowledge the goodness of the Lord towards the management and employees of Rhema Jason Ventures, Mr. Adjei indicated that it is high time the younger generation avoided rush and exercise patience amidst hard prayers, hard work, discipline and commitments towards any good work they are engaged hopping that their time of success will surely come into fruition. According to Mr. Adjei, the youth must be consumed by the mindset that challenges cannot in any way be avoided in life and can also be overcome with time. They must therefore take their time in making money, build savings, steady their financial situation and create a foundation upon which to build their future, he advised. The Ghanaian youth of today, he again advised, should maintain their focus, exercise absolute humility in whatever venture they are engaged in and invest in other business opportunities available than spending lavishly on unnecessary pleasures of life that cannot guarantee a better tomorrow.
