Sammy Kuffour On Rampage Over $30,000

Internationally celebrated former Ghanaian footballer, Samuel Osei Kuffour, is reported to have taken the law into his hands and assaulted a female shop owner at East Legon, a suburb of Accra where the rich live. Osei Kuffour is alleged to have gone to the shop, De Joy Enterprise, together with a group of men with heavily built muscles, to assault the shop owner, Agnes Opoku, and some of her shop attendants in what seems to be an attack provoked by land litigation. A worker of the shop is said to have sustained injuries and the case has been reported to the Legon Police. The highly respected footballer is said to have paid an amount of $30,000 to someone believed to be the owner of the land on which the shop was built. The supposed landlord, after receiving the amount from the former Bayern Munich player, is said to have vanished into thin air. The news was first reported by www.ghanasportsonline. com and the site said Sammy Kuffour refused to grant any interview to the media. NEWS-ONE also tried without success to get his version of the story. Further checks revealed that the footballer has since been charged with assault after a complaint was lodged by Madam Agnes Opoku, the shop owner. Sammy Kuffour may find himself in trouble if investigations find him guilty of the accusation. 2014 ended with a couple of Ghanaian celebrities being dragged to court for various offences after they found themselves on the wrong side of the law and it seems the trend is continuing in 2015.
