TWO SUSPECTED robbers, who allegedly parade in military uniforms and rob their victims at gun-point, are in police grips. One of the suspects, Hussein Abdella aka Baba, 18, was recently granted bail by the KMA court where he is standing trial for robbery. The other suspect is Nurudeen Yussif, aged 22, who is a scrap dealer and resident of Aboabo, a suburb of Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional capital. ACP Ampofo Duku, Deputy Ashanti Regional Police Commander, said the police were informed about the nefarious activities of the two. The police, he disclosed, mounted a manhunt for them. ACP Duku disclosed that the police, after days of combing, finally apprehended Baba and Yussif at their hideout on January 9 this year. He said one short gun, five live ammunitions, three pairs of scissors, one short cutlass, screw driver and military uniform, were found on them during a search. The police capo described the arrest of the two suspected notorious robbers as a major breakthrough for the law enforcement agents in the fight against crime. ACP Duku urged persons that had suffered the brutalities of the two suspects to come and testify against them.
