The Deputy Secretary of NDC in the Eastern Region, Francis Annoh-Dompreh, has assured that President John Dramani Mahama is a man of his word and will fulfill all the promises he made in the run up to the 2012 elections and since he was sworn into office two years ago.
President John Mahama is an honourable man who will keep his word to Ghanaians and the world he stated on Adom FMs Dwaso Nsem morning show of Tuesday January 13, 2015.
Making particular reference to roads in the Eastern Region, Mr Annoh-Dompreh said several contracts have been awarded for the rehabilitation of several problem roads, including the Suhum-Asamankese, Oyoko-Kukurantumi Junction-Bunso roads under the cocoa roads rehabilitation scheme.
The Suhum-Nsawam road, which has been a major problem will also see major work and will probably be completed by the end of this year or early next year, he added.
Chiefs in the region and several youth groups had expressed anger at governments seeming neglect of roads in the region but Mr Dompreh argues government has been through trying times but there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Very soon we will all be smiling. I know my President will keep his word to the people of Ghana, especially to the people of the Eastern region.
NDC in the Eastern Region will share the votes 50/50 with the NPP in 2016. We will show the people of the region that NDC is the party that truly has their welfare at heart, he declared.
