Franklin Cudjoe Questions Auditor General On Missing Public Funds

As many continue to seek answers to missing public funds and infractions with the payroll challenges, the Chief Executive Officer of IMANI Ghana, Franklin Cudjoe has questioned the Auditor General of the whereabout of the fund. �#OccupyGhana is asking the Auditor General to make the following specific requests for disclosure,� he posted on Facebook Read Franklin�s comments (I) If you have set up any scheme of rewards for persons who pro-vide information leading to successful recovery of funds arising from audits undertaken into reported cases, kindly provide us with details of the scheme and whether there have been any reported cases since it was set up; (II) If you have ever issued to and served on any Heads of Departments/Institutions, specifications of Disallowance and/or Sur-charge, kindly provide us with copies of them; (III) Since you state that at least one matter involving a Surcharge has been to court, kindly provide us with a copy of the certification that you issued for that matter; (IV) Kindly provide us with any certificates that you have issued or action taken to recover monies under your Disallowance and/or Surcharge powers under the Local Government Act; and (V) Kindly provide us with copies of records of the �adverse comments� that you have received from Parliament and Development Partners for not actively introducing measures to implement the provisions on Surcharge and Disallowance."
