David Cameron has quietly ditched a promise to release his personal tax return before the General Election, it has emerged.
The Prime Minister and Chancellor George Osborne had said they were 'relaxed' about making their tax affairs public in 2012, claiming that Cabinet ministers should be open about their finances.
