A Suspected Armed Robber Killed At Goaso

A-28- year old suspected armed robber has been lynched at Goaso for entering the house of a trader and hitting the head of an 18 year old boy at Goaso in the Brong Ahafo Region. Superintendent Alhaji Maama Arhin , Brong Ahafo Regional Police Crime Officer, briefing the Ghana News Agency(GNA) in Sunyani stated that on January 15, 2015 deceased Vicent Afram, unemployed, entered the house of Madam Christiana Abubakar through the ceiling with the intention to steal. He said Madam Christiana at about 0100 hours heard an unusual noise from the ceiling and raised the alarm, but the suspected armed robber managed to escaped before residents could reached the house. Superintendent Arhin said Afram hit the forehead of an 18 year old mechanic Ninba Laar with a metal making him unconscious in the attempt to arrest him. He said the residents chased him, arrested and beat him to death. Superintendent Arhin stated that Laar was rushed to the Goaso Government Hospital and is still on admission, whilst the body of the deceased has been deposited at the hospital mortuary pending autopsy.
