Ghana Police Strengthens Recruitment Screening To Prevent Infiltration

The Police Service says it has strengthened its recruitment processes to ensure that criminals do not infiltrate its ranks. The assurance follows the recent spate of arrests of service men for various criminal activities. The latest of this has been the arrest of an immigration officer. He was arrested by the Ashanti region police command for the illegal sale of unregistered fire arms. Director of Police Public Affairs, DSP Cephas Arthur tells Ultimate fm, the service has increased its stages of background checks of all recruits. He believes the inculcated features will help the police do a thorough job in ensuring the integrity of people it allows into the police service.
